Inspections

Common areas are inspected for maintenance, and bylaw compliance.

The most common bylaw issues are:

• Washing hung visibly on balconies, so that it can be seen from the street.

• Bikes and lights etc attached to external common walls of balconies.

• Bikes in hallways and corridors (common areas).

• Parking in car wash bays and designated visitor car park spaces for longer than is reasonable.

• Storage of effects in car park areas outside of the painted perimeter of a car parking space.

• Dangerous good storage within car park spaces: gas bottles, fuel, high stacks of goods that may topple into another spot.

• Bikes being attached to common areas in car parks such as pillars and drain pipes.

• Shoes and garbage left outside front doors in corridors (internal or external) areas of the Atlas.

• Installation of fly screens, security grills, air conditioning without written permission from the EC.

• Internal works such as added floors that are attached to external walls (common property) or timber floors.
