Common areas are inspected for maintenance, and bylaw compliance.
The most common bylaw issues are:
Washing hung visibly on balconies, so that it can be seen from the street.
Bikes and lights etc attached to external common walls of balconies.
Bikes in hallways and corridors (common areas).
Parking in car wash bays and designated visitor car park spaces for longer than is reasonable.
Storage of effects in car park areas outside of the painted perimeter of a car parking space.
Dangerous good storage within car park spaces: gas bottles, fuel, high stacks of goods that may topple into another spot.
Bikes being attached to common areas in car parks such as pillars and drain pipes.
Shoes and garbage left outside front doors in corridors (internal or external) areas of the Atlas.
Installation of fly screens, security grills, air conditioning without written permission from the EC.
Internal works such as added floors that are attached to external walls (common property) or timber floors.
